Just arrived home to a wonderful surprise. I was speechless from the beauty of these fabulous drums. Their a work of art. I don’t know if I just want to sit here and look at them or tune um up and start pounding! They look 100 times better in person than on the website. Thank you for the awesome drums and I will spread the word of V.P. to every music contact I meet.

I just want to say that your Quinto, Conga and Tumba Mango drums are not only beautiful but the sound is Superb! I happen to have the pleasure of playing them the other night at a friends studio. “WOW”. What a rush! I have L.P’s wooden classic model, all three of them. Yours are far more better in tone and workmanship. Quality! I will soon be purchasing a set of Volcano’s.

The Meeting of Man & Drum

The drums were warm and glistening with rich wood. I was drawn to them skin to skin. Deep tone bathed me. That night I longed to touch them again.

I saw your ad interestingly enough in Latin Beat Magazine on the plane while I was on my way to California. Well, to my surprise when I walked into my friends family room, There were the drums! The colors were striking and very unique, and the sound was equally amazing. Keep up the good work.

Volcano Percussion has gone beyond excellence in creating a world class conga. Rated on a scale of comparison with other drums, these get a grade of “beyond excellent”. The sound quality of these drums surpassed my wildest dreams in the 45 years I’ve been playing. I would not want to be on stage playing X brand congas with a set of Volcano’s in view. These are the most beautiful drums I’ve ever played. I can’t wait to “Bango my Mango”.

Excerpt from Latin Beat Magazine Product Review

“At first glance the beauty of the craftsmanship of these drums is somewhat hypnotic. They look very natural as well as tropical. Playing them is like driving a luxury car. The heads are smooth and easy on the hands while the sound tonality and projection are incredible. The quinto has a monster sound. I love these drums!” Priced accordingly, these drums are worth every penny.

Brother Tom,

Just a note to say hello. I sent you a copy of the concert “80 Minutes Around the World”, which premiered Bop a Deedle, an Afro Caribbean symphonic work featuring Conga. I’m pleased to say that the Volcano conga’s tonality was as rich as any of the instruments in the orchestra. Because of this richness in tonality, the Volcano congas have now taken their place in the percussion section of orchestral music. It is an honor to endorse an instrument of such magnificent quality.

I remain, Sango

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to play your tumbadoras (Congas) at NAMM. They are beautifully crafted with such care of a masterbuilder craftsman. Your final quality control check is to perfection. The welding of the hardware, the drilling of the hardware openings, the skins, the care and development of the natural woods of the Hawaiian Islands and the quality of your final clear coats on the woods are eye catching. Anyone who has your tumbadoras will attract an eye for their beauty and sound. These congas, especially the tumba has such an earthy warm sound that sounds like the beat of the heart or heart beat of Mother Earth. The sound of the conga has a beautiful high and midrange , which contributes that sound to the sound of “Marcha” in a hard core Latin Band. Marcha allows one to be constant in timing and sound, to the sound of La Orquestra de Mambo, Son Montuno, Guaracha, Bolero and other genras (and this is what your TUMBADORAS do best. They make a serious statement to the contenders of the tumbadora world of Latin and even of Musica de Brazil. I will not forget how these tumbadoras sound. Your drums are exquisite. These drums are certainly of Mother Earth.

Hi Tom,

My name is Yonatan Bar Rashi, Known as Yoni by some. I play percussion professionally for about 30 years. While recently visiting  Hawaii, I had the pleasure of recording in Spectrum Studio with Volcano drums. Volcano’s are far and away the best congas I have ever played. What a sound! Their projection and sustain are awesome. The tones ring pure and the pops cut through with great crispness and clarity. The drums are also beautiful to look at - I love the shape of the shells and the different wood types used in their construction. The stainless steel hardware is also fine looking and very strong. I had heard of Volcano Congas for years and I know they have a great reputation. Now I know why!

Hi Tom

When I opened the boxes my jaw dropped at the beauty of the drums. They look fantastic with such craftsmanship, I tuned them up and had a play, I could not believe the resonance. I am very, very pleased. Thank you once again.
